Best Personal Trainer Denver

Who’s the Best Personal Trainer in Denver?  That’s a very good question.  My advice is to do your research.

Where are they?

You don’t want to drive 30 minutes in traffic to see them, you will most likely quit soon due to frustration.

Who are they?

How is their reputation?  What do their reviews look like?

What do they charge?

Cheaper or more expensive doesn’t always mean better.

Do you click with them?

Can you spend lots of time with this person?  Will they keep you interested?  Will they bring you new and exciting workouts and exercises?

Do they motivate you?

Are they boring and monotone?  Can they find the way to make you get to the next level?

My best advice is to have a meet and greet consultation with them.  Will you be able to spend lots of time with this person.  Read their reviews!  Going with the cheapest isn’t always the best route.  I am a firm believer of you get what you pay for.

Hiring a personal trainer? Some questions to ask

Interviewing personal trainers

Thinking about hiring a personal trainer? Start by asking these questions suggested by Philippe Ray, president of the National Personal Training Institute of Colorado:

1. Where were you educated to become a personal trainer?

2. How many years have you been a personal trainer?

3. What organization certified you? Is that organization affiliated with the National Commission for Certifying Agencies? (The top certifying organizations are the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the American Council on Exercise, the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and IDEA Health & Fitness Association.)

4. Is your certification current?

5. What was the last continuing-education class you took, and when and where you did you take it?

6. Can you provide contact information for three clients whose goals and needs are similar to mine?

7. What is your philosophy as a personal trainer?

8. What is your policy regarding missed training sessions?

9. What kind of liability insurance do you carry?

10. Is your CPR/AED certification current?
