Can working out be a social event?  Heck yeah it can.  I have been training a group of people for years.  They are friends.  They workout together.  They push each other.  They hang out together.  They see the gym as their hang out spot more than a scene of torture and punishment.  It’s called group personal training or just “group” to them.  They are constantly breaking each other’s records on burpees, plate pushes, sit-ups,  pushups, you name it.  And it’s all in the name of fun and health.  These people are getting in amazing shape, some of the toughest people I’ve ever trained and they don’t even notice the workout sometimes.  They are too busy laughing and joking with each other.  It’s quite a fascinating thing to see.
